The goal is to enhance models' understanding of human speech and requests, making them more friendly and compassionate.

Requirements

1. Native fluency in English (North American Accent)
2. Ability to express a wide range of emotions through voice
3. Ability to record in a quiet environment without background noise
4. Access to an at-home recording studio
5. Experience with voice-related work (e.g., voiceover acting, podcasting, audio narration)
6. Access to a high-fidelity microphone for recordings

Nice to Haves

1. Background in on-screen or on-stage acting, classical voice training, or vocal music
2. Access to an audio interface device

Responsibilities

1. Record short conversations conveying different emotions, accents, and audio modulations
2. Review and provide feedback on recordings made by other users
3. Review and edit scripts
4. Ensure high-quality audio by maintaining clear, professional recordings
5. Save files to Audacity and maintain organized file management

Additional Information

Payment rates for core voice recording projects are up to $40 USD per hour. Candidates in Illinois, Texas, and Washington are currently ineligible.

This is a 1099 contract opportunity on the Outlier.ai platform. It is a freelance role; internships, sponsorships, or employment are not offered. You must be authorized to work in your country of residence. International students on a visa may be eligible; please consult your advisor.
