Job Responsibilities/Objectives

As a Telecoms Technician you will be working in the clients exchange buildings across the USA, providing connectivity schemes between the MDF and Switch infrastructure.

1. Following an agreed schedule provide 2‑wire jumpers to complete circuit between the MDF and 20C switching infrastructure.
2. Terminate 2‑wire jumpers using twist‑and‑tip soldering techniques or IDC tools as appropriate.
3. Provide and test 2Mb co‑axial circuits between DDFs.
4. Test provision of 2‑wire prior to changeover.
5. Recover old wiring as specified in job pack.
6. Support decommissioning of Switch infrastructure.
