Cayuse Holdings, LLC is seeking a Voice Data Communication Engineer, Journeyman to help plan, design, install, test, and maintain large voice/data networks. This entry/early-career role offers growth within a dynamic environment and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams on-site in Illinois.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 3+ years in the field (preferred), and mandatory certifications such as BICSI Installer 2 or Fiber Installer.
The Voice Data Communication Engineer, Journeyman will provide technical direction, engineering expertise, and support across a variety of communication domains, including the planning, designing, development, installation, testing, and maintenance of large communications networks. This entry-level position will allow you to leverage foundational skills while gaining hands-on experience and professional growth within a dynamic environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience may be considered.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in voice/data communications engineering is preferred but not required for candidates with certifications and strong technical aptitude.
Certifications: One of the following certifications is mandatory to qualify for the position:
BICSI Installer 2
Copper or BICSI Installer 2 - Fiber
Top-Secret Clearance is required.
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
May require lifting and moving hardware equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Some tasks may involve standing, bending, or working in confined technical spaces.
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
