An exciting opportunity to lend your voice to a short film project that explores the journey of inner peace. This role requires a native English-speaking voice actress with a calm and soothing tone, perfect for a fictional affirmation podcast. The recording can be done remotely, allowing you to showcase your talent from the comfort of your home. While this is a student production without financial compensation, it promises a respectful collaboration and a memorable role in a high-quality final product. If you are passionate about voice work and want to contribute to an engaging narrative, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
We are looking for a native English-speaking voice actress (preferred voice age: 30–60) for our short film ZÜNGLEIN (Hamburg Media School).
Project Summary:
On a quest for inner peace, Lou joins an exclusive silent retreat – but instead of serenity, she finds a system of fear and strict control. When another participant disappears, Lou realizes that those who don't submit may be silenced forever.
About the role:
We are searching for a calm, grounded voice for a fictional affirmation podcast, which Lou listens to at the beginning of the film. The tone should be soft, soothing and emotionally steady, without being detached – think: trustworthy self-help narrator or meditation guide.
Details:
- 6 short lines (approx. 1–2 hours recording time)
- Recording can be done remotely – ideally with access to a professional or semi-professional mic setup
- Style: Relaxed, slow-paced, supportive
- Usage: Voice-over only, no appearance in the film
- Language: Native-level English required
- Available: From now on
As this is a student production, we unfortunately can’t offer financial compensation. However, we promise respectful collaboration, clear direction, and a high-quality final product in which your voice plays a memorable role.
If you're interested, please send us a short note and, if available, a sample of your voice or previous work :)
