Summary:

The Vocational Services Employment Specialist II role provides support to individuals with disabilities in community jobs. This includes training individuals in job tasks, assessing progress, and developing goals and interventions to maximize independence.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  1. Education: Two years of college education with the ability to supervise and train people with disabilities. Completion of Maine Employment Curriculum preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: State of Maine's Job Coach Training required or to be achieved after hire. Valid Driver's License required.
  3. Experience: Six months of previous job coaching or experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Vocational Services - Employment Specialist I role.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements: Ability to travel to multiple community locations to deliver services.
