Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the New Castle District Office, serving Butler County. You will deliver a full range of vocational rehabilitation services to help individuals with disabilities pursue meaningful careers and independence.

You will interview applicants, determine eligibility, develop individualized employment plans, monitor progress, and manage case records, with telework options after training and a typical 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, mental health, special education, social work, human services, psychology, or related field.
• Active CRCC certificate or ability to sit for CRCC exam (with master’s degree).
• Meet educational requirements within 3 months of graduating.

Responsibilities

• Referral engagement with sources to identify eligible individuals.
• Conduct comprehensive face-to-face applicant interviews.
• Assess eligibility for services and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop an Individualized Plan for Employment and coordinate services.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to move toward employment.
• Maintain case notes and manage letters and service communications.
