Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Business Services Representative for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to expand employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities by connecting businesses and community partners. You will promote resources and build partnerships across the region to help Pennsylvanians achieve greater independence.

The duties include employer liaison, relationship support, program promotion, provider outreach, hiring facilitation, and event participation.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.

Responsibilities

• Employer Liaison: Build connections with employers, providers, and staff to support customer placement opportunities.
• Relationship Support: Maintain employer partnerships through regular communication by phone, email, and meetings.
• Program Promotion: Share information about OVR programs, incentives, apprenticeships, and work experiences.
• Provider Outreach: Engage with new and existing service providers to promote options for customers.
• Hiring Facilitation: Assist businesses and counselors by pre-screening candidates and identifying hiring needs.
• Event Participation: Plan and support job fairs, hiring events, and community activities with OVR staff.
