Job Description

Vocational Rehabilitation Caseload Assistant (CA) Position Overview

Are you passionate about helping individuals with disabilities achieve their career goals? As a Vocational Rehabilitation Caseload Assistant, you will support our Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and collaborate with support teams to assist job seekers. Join us and make a difference!

Duties vary by area and include:

  • General: Support the front door process of local offices and other duties.
  • Job Development (JD): Assist consumers with job seeking and interview skills, and securing employment.
  • Talent Sourcing Coordinators (TSC): Help increase job placements within companies in the Business Leadership Network.
  • Career Resources: Meet with individuals in subminimum wage employment to promote opportunities for competitive employment and share information about supported employment services.
  • Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Program: Support the PCA program providing reimbursement funds for individuals with severe physical disabilities requiring ADL assistance.

  • Ability to make independent decisions with good judgment.

The job development caseload may require transporting participants to appointments, meetings, and events, using a valid driver's license. All other caseloads may involve travel within Ohio, with own transportation or a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle.

Our Bureau provides vocational rehabilitation services to help individuals attain and maintain employment, working with adults and youth transitioning from high school to work or college. More info: ood.ohio.gov
