Job summary

State of Vermont seeks a Vocational Rehabilitation Associate Counselor to support individuals with disabilities in gaining employment. The role focuses on assessment, guidance, and counseling, with duties including case management, documentation, and collaboration with community providers.

Some travel to consumer homes/work sites may be needed. The position is a Limited Service role, requiring a Bachelor's or higher, with a commitment to pursue a Master's within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher AND two (2) or more years at or above a paraprofessional or technical level in a human services program, involving direct client contact.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a human services field.
• Successful applicants will be required to make a written commitment to secure, within five years of hire, a master’s degree in a field approved by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, guidance, and counseling for participants.
• Assist in finding employment/career and work experiences.
• Case management and documentation.
• Collaboration with community providers; use MS Office and video platforms for remote communication.
