Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency seeks a Counselor 1 (T) to provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. Under supervision, you will assess needs, develop an individualized employment plan, and guide participants toward competitive employment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience; Master’s degree or CRC is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Georgia, with standard work hours and travel within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, education, special education or related field plus two years of related experience.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred or CRC credential is desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsabilités

• Develops and maintains referral sources.
• Conducts interviews with VR participants and potential clients.
• Reviews and interprets education, vocation, psychological and medical information.
• Travels within caseload area to meet with individuals, providers and partners.
• Assists in determining eligibility and developing an employment plan.
• Counsels participants and guides through rehabilitation, including setting employment goals and job search support.
• Monitors client movement and ensures timely provision of services.
• Documents accurately in the client information system (AWARE).
• Educates the public and partner agencies about rehabilitation services.
• Captures and reports participant data as directed.
