Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Murdoch Developmental Center, seeks a Human Services Provider Program Coordinator I to oversee VE work areas and ensure alignment with Employment First. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field and one year of experience providing and/or developing person-centered care plans for individuals with intellectual disabilities/co-occurring disorders; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with individuals with I/DD in vocational/work settings, including implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of vocational programming.
• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook for documentation, data management, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee programming within VE work areas aligned with the Employment First Initiative.
• Train staff on the Career Development Plan process and ensure plan completion.
• Maintain up-to-date work consents and work agreements for all individuals in MDC work programs.
• Organize job descriptions, work studies, schedules, activities, and attendance in coordination with VE supervisors/specialists.
• Refer new job placements in VE work areas and track participation.
• Oversee evaluations based on individuals' assessment data and revise MCPL teaching methods as needed.
