Los Angeles Jewish Health seeks a Temporary Vocational Nursing Instructor for the Annenberg School of Nursing in Reseda, CA. The role guides VN and NA students through classroom, skills lab, and clinical experiences, aligning with state licensure exams.

Expect course load, prep, and hands-on clinical supervision with weekly progress feedback. Qualified LVN with CA license or RN with nursing degree; teaching experience is a plus.

Qualificações

• Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse in California.
• Teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• PC literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
• Must be able to travel to various clinical sites.

Responsabilidades

• Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility.
• Teach a course load as assigned, including theory and clinical lab instruction.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Clarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conference.
• Clarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staff.
• Make patient/student assignments meeting clinical objectives and patient needs.
• Guide students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; support critical thinking.
• Coordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
• Direct post conference to apply theory to clinical experiences and discuss learnings.
• Evaluate student progress and provide weekly feedback with clear improvement objectives.
• Provide immediate feedback of clinical performance after observation of skills.
