Job Description

Location: North Fulton, South Fulton Counties

Salary: $27.50/hour

Position Summary

The Instructor for Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) will teach pre-employment vocational training to high school and transitional-aged students with disabilities, aged 14-21. Responsibilities include delivering services in schools and during breaks and summer camps. The PRN (as-needed) instructor must be flexible to work during school hours.

Responsibilities
  • Teach pre-employment curriculum covering career exploration, job readiness, self-advocacy, and post-secondary opportunities to students aged 14-21.
  • Complete electronic documentation of services and submit monthly reports and timecards.
  • Participate in meetings with schools to coordinate services.
  • Maintain classroom management and complete required trainings.
  • Provide services during fall and spring sessions, if available.
  • Educate community about summer programs.
  • Foster positive relationships with community partners and serve as a cultural ambassador.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or related fields preferred.
  • Or high school diploma/GED with at least two years of experience working with students with disabilities and 30 college semester hours, or 60 college hours in relevant fields.
  • Three years of teaching experience preferred.

  • Mission-driven with strong customer service skills.
  • Organized, accurate, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidentiality awareness.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with office equipment.
  • Pass drug screening and background check; eligible to work in the U.S.
