Under the supervision of the respective Contract Manager (Landscaping or Janitorial), an individual provides hands-on services, supports, on-the-job training, vocational training, and counseling to assist persons with disabilities in developing career independence. This is achieved through collaboration with the individual's Employment Specialist, person-centered planning with the individual and team members to develop, implement, evaluate, and amend client Individual Service Plan goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may also be assigned:
Direct Service:
- Act as an advocate and role model for all individuals served, serving as a liaison between Easter Seals and the contracts served.
- Provide on-the-job training, assess skills, and determine employment needs for individuals on work crews.
- Maintain documentation such as case notes, flowsheets, and incident reports.
- Report work/contract-related questions or concerns to the Contract Manager; collaborate on SOW and explore opportunities to increase revenue, including suggesting additional work at sites.
- Submit completed work checklists with photos to the Contract Manager.
- Support work crews with completing their timecards.
- Review Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Individualized Program Plans (IPP) for individuals under your supervision, providing on-the-job services and supports.
- Assist in identifying needs for accommodations, adaptive equipment, or technology to enhance employment opportunities and personal satisfaction.
- Assist in the development of the work site.
- Complete and submit required paperwork for each job site promptly.
- Work with the Employment Specialist to ensure appropriate Job Coaching training and retraining.
- Assist the Director or Contract Manager in developing individual-employee job descriptions, including task analysis for vocational training.
- Complete and document all mandatory training, including Easter Seals, Cal-OSHA, and worksite training, annually or as needed.
- Pick up and deliver work service contract supplies as needed.
- Transport clients to work sites and maintain vehicle paperwork.
- Cross-train on all contract work, both paid and volunteer, to meet operational needs.
- Attend all Easter Seals Enterprises (ESE) team meetings as scheduled.
- Comply with privacy laws and HIPAA regulations, understanding the consequences of non-compliance.
- Follow all safety procedures outlined by the Injury, Illness, and Prevention Program (IIPP) Safety Manual, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA, and understand the consequences of non-compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day.
Meetings:
- Attend and participate in monthly Easter Seals Enterprises staff meetings.
- Participate in Case Record Review meetings and other scheduled meetings.
- Attend annual and semi-annual meetings to review clients' progress.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED recommended; or one year of full-time experience working with individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid California driver's license, proof of liability insurance, and acceptable driving record.
- Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice.
- Current CPR with AED certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Proof of negative TB test within 12 months.
- Pre-placement back assessment.
- Federal PIV Badge.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in general office software.
- Ability to operate program-related equipment safely.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is an open warehouse and/or outdoor setting with moderate to high noise levels.
