Job summary

The School at Springbrook is seeking a Vocational Specialist to help students develop pre-vocational and vocational skills through on-campus and community-based work experiences in upstate New York. You will support individualized IEP goals and work with instructors to implement vocational training plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating stipends, maintaining progress notes, and liaising with families and staff to ensure successful transitions for students in 8:1:2 classrooms.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred with at least one year of vocational programming experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and behavioral assistance to students with developmental disabilities.
• Assist in classroom instruction, behavior management, and service plans.
• Supervise students and support vocational/transition goals.
• Manage stipend accounts and keep ledgers for program funds.
• Report progress by phone, email or in person.
