School of Rock is seeking a Vocal Instructor for our Prosper location to lead engaging music instruction and foster student growth. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of teaching or performing, strong theory knowledge, and a passion for teaching in a performance-based program.

The role emphasizes clear communication with families, collaboration with staff, and adherence to safety policies while delivering high-quality vocal education in a vibrant after-school setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and people
• Strong organizational skills
• Very strong customer relations skills
• Resourceful and good problem‑solver
• Works well under pressure
• Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music school training
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Good judgment a must
• Passion for teaching

Responsibilities

• Music Instruction: maximize the quality of instruction, ensure students learn fundamentals, and create thoughtful lesson plans.
• Customer Connection: communicate regularly with parents, be visible and accessible in school, assist with rehearsals and basic maintenance, and adhere to School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
