Job summary

The Music Academy of the West seeks a Lehrer Vocal Institute Manager (LVIM) to lead artistic operations for the Lehrer Vocal Institute during the annual summer festival, reporting to the VP of Artistic Planning. In collaboration with the Director of Production and LVI Co-Directors, the LVIM will manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, and on-site administration, including audition tours and masterclasses.

Qualifications

• Experience in arts administration.
• Familiarity with operatic and song repertoire is a plus.
• Experience managing timelines, budgets and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support to VPAP and LVI Co-Directors throughout planning of the LVI curriculum.
• Lead regular LVI planning meetings, organize agendas and track timelines.
• Assist with and attend annual LVI audition tour on-site.
• Assist with preparation and tracking of LVI budget with VPAP and CFO.
• Serve as primary festival scheduler for all vocal events in ArtsVision.
• Produce LVI public events with production team and provide administrative support for masterclasses and performances.
• Prepare and distribute pre-summer materials for teaching artists and fellows; maintain portals.
• Manage Directing Fellow program and scheduling of weekly check-ins.
• Identify and secure auxiliary choir members and supernumeraries.
• Prepare and execute contracts for LVI teaching and guest artists.
• Hire and supervise summer LVI Coordinator.
• Ensure timely creation of artistic content in vocal programs.
