Job summary

A leading IT staffing firm seeks a VMware/Windows Systems/Data Backup Administrator in Washington D.C. This role involves supporting server administration, performing migrations, and ensuring data backup and recovery. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in Windows administration and VMware infrastructure. The contract duration is 7 months with the potential for hire. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems is required, along with expertise in related technologies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Windows 2000/2003/2008 server administration.
• 5 years of experience administering VMware systems.
• 3 years of experience in data backup systems administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical to virtual migrations of Windows servers.
• Support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's internal network.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and support.
