Job summary

CBTS is seeking a VMware Engineer to support production infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, manage virtualization environments, and participate in incident and change management. The role focuses on administering Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, VM provisioning, snapshots, vMotion, templates, and lifecycle management.

The candidate will collaborate with teams and participate in MOD rotation.

Qualifications

• Must have Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration experience.
• Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter.
• Experience in incident and change management within production infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including configuration, patching, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
• Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, including VM provisioning, snapshots, cloning, vMotion, templates, and lifecycle management.
• Manage server storage, file systems, services, certificates, and PKI-related activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and capacity and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot OS, virtualization, performance, boot, service, and event-log issues.
• Participate in MOD rotation as a primary escalation point for critical incidents.
• Plan and implement production changes, assess risk/impact, and support maintenance and upgrades.
• Lead small to medium infrastructure design projects and collaborate with teams.
• Apply vendor best practices across Windows and VMware technologies.
• Support performance tuning, capacity planning, high availability, and service excellence.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including configuration, patching, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
• Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, including VM provisioning, snapshots, cloning, vMotion, templates, and lifecycle management.
• Manage server storage, file systems, services, certificates, and PKI-related activities.

• Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation as a primary escalation point for critical incidents.

• Lead small to medium infrastructure design projects and collaborate with infrastructure, application, and project teams.
