Qualifications

• Six to eight years of experience in relevant roles.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current VCP-VCF certification required, and can be obtained within first 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support on‑premises cloud infrastructure.
• Serve as SME for all VMware environments.
• Create and maintain an on‑premises cloud and SDDC using storage, network, and SAN.
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain information security across the virtualized infrastructure.
• Monitor, test performance, and collaborate with developers to resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain scripts to automate provisioning and reduce manual tasks.
• Provide 3rd level support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and perform ongoing support of the on‑premises cloud Infrastructure.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all VMware environments.
• Create and maintain an on‑premises cloud, software defined data center infrastructure for both bare‑metal and virtual machines with the appropriate SAN, network, or local storage configurations, using both OEM and third‑party tools that include virtual storage tools and services.
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the virtualized infrastructure.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, such as automated provisioning storage with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Provide 3rd level support.

Qualifications

• Current VCP-VCF (VMware Certified Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator) certification required, and can be obtained within first 6 months of employment
• Six to eight years of experience.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
