Job summary

Booz Allen seeks a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise IT systems for national security missions. You will translate complex user needs into scalable virtualization solutions in Windows Server environments.

Key responsibilities include configuring VMware cloud foundation, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and PowerShell automation, plus documenting configurations and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, configuring, and maintaining VMware environments to ensure availability and performance.
• 6+ years installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN.
• 2+ years PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development.
• Experience with network and storage virtualization such as vSAN or NSX.
• Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed teams.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain VMware cloud foundation for high availability and performance.
• Deploy, configure, and manage vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX and related products.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent virtualization issues.
• Create, update, and maintain documentation for virtualization infrastructure.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Plan, test, and execute upgrades and patching for VMware infrastructure.
• Monitor virtual infrastructure health and optimize performance.
