VMS/MSP Strategy Director, Healthcare Staffing

5+ years staffing industry experience required – VMS/MSP experience essential

Location: Remote (U.S. based), with up to 30% travel to franchise locations and client sites. Relocation not required.

Are you a staffing leader who thrives in the VMS/MSP world and knows how to drive wins from the inside out?

Our client is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare staffing, empowering over 60 franchise locations across multiple Healthcare competencies with the tools, systems, and support they need to deliver top-tier clinical talent across the country. With approvals on 15 major VMS/MSP platforms, this person will create a centralized VMS Center of Excellence. The client is positioned to help franchise owners win more business—but needs the right strategist to help connect the dots locally.

We’re hiring for a VMS/MSP Strategy Director to lead the charge in turning platform approvals into local wins by equipping franchisees with the training, insights, and tactical support they need to navigate the complex VMS ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Coach and train franchise owners on how to get listed on local MSP/VMS panels
  • Develop relationships with local VMS success managers to open access and drive business to franchisees
  • Partner with the VMS Center of Excellence to streamline submissions and improve win rates
  • Create tailored submission strategies aligned to each client’s expectations and needs
  • Build and maintain a repository of best practices, templates, and win themes across platforms
  • Serve as a liaison between corporate strategy and local execution, ensuring alignment and visibility
  • Support ongoing optimization of local portal usage and submission quality
  • Analyze win/loss trends to continuously improve submission strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep understanding of the VMS/MSP ecosystem, including platform onboarding, compliance, and operations
  • Track record of getting on panels and turning access into revenue
  • Skilled in building relationships with success managers and key VMS contacts
  • Ability to teach and influence independently owned franchise operators
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute at a tactical level
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across field and corporate teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, decentralized environment
  • Passionate about elevating the performance of others

Required

  • 5+ years of staffing industry experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Proven experience managing or working with MSP/VMS accounts
  • Strong training and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting or managing franchisee performance is a plus
