Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and deliver complex technology initiatives across the Trade Surveillance Data Engineering team.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-performing, and secure data solutions.
3. Design, build, test, and maintain ETL packages using SSIS and Python from sources like flat files, JSON, Oracle, FTP, and NDM.
4. Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for internal and regulatory use.
5. Manage batch scheduling using Autosys JIL.
6. Document systems and workflows thoroughly, maintaining compliance with testing and QA standards.
7. Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tickets in JIRA across five scrum teams with bi-weekly sprints.
8. Engage in early-stage planning around generative AI capabilities and long-term internal tool development.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, specifically in data engineering and BI.
• Advanced knowledge in:
• Python (required)
• Power BI (expert level)
• SSIS (ETL development)
• Pyspark
• SQL Server
• Autosys JIL
• Experience with Agile methodology, Scrum, and JIRA ticket management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Pay Range: $60-70
