Job summary

Integrated Bio in San Carlos, CA is seeking two onsite vivarium technicians to support in vivo studies in aging research. You will maintain mouse colonies, assist with experiments, and process tissues for downstream analyses as trained.

You'll work closely with scientists, document results, and help keep facilities running smoothly. A BA/BS in bioengineering, biology, chemistry or related field is required, with 1+ years of mouse handling preferred. Salary range $60K–$80K plus equity and bonus.

Qualifications

• Detail orientation and experience working with mice and/or small animals in a laboratory setting.
• Willingness to perform routine facility work reliably and well, every day.
• Excellent execution of planned experiments, and creativity to plan new ones.
• The ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small team.
• Willingness to work hard in service of moving the needle on human aging.
• Prior (1+ years) mouse handling experience
• Histology or tissue processing experience
• A B.A. or B.S. degree in bioengineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing key experiments involving animal models
• Maintain animal colonies and facilities in a responsive, day-to-day manner, including bedding changes and health checks
• Perform hands‑on animal handling tasks, including dosing, injections, and measurements
• Process tissues to support downstream analyses, including collection, fixation, and sectioning as trained
• Keep accurate records and communicate results clearly
