Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO is seeking a Materials Handler I to support OLAR operations in cage wash, inventory, and equipment handling. You will assist with stocking, data entry, and procurement tasks while maintaining sanitation and safety standards across the vivarium facilities.

This full-time position requires physical work, driving as needed, and adherence to SOPs and PPE. The role supports biomedical research across multiple schools and labs on campus.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid State of Colorado Driver’s License by the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate equipment for OLAR or research staff per SOPs.
• Follow SOPs and wear PPE as required for the work.
• Receive and inspect goods including animal diets and supplies.
• Enter data into the inventory system and manage stock rotation.
• Operate cage washing and related equipment as directed.
