Job summary

Mayo Clinic Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery to join our department. This faculty position emphasizes clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and active participation in research and clinical trials.

The department supports an integrated practice model and ongoing expansion of the ophthalmology residency program and vitreoretinal fellowship.

Qualifications

• MD degree with accredited ophthalmology residency.
• Fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in ophthalmology.
• Eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for posterior segment diseases and surgery.
• Engage in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
• Participate in clinical trials and implement protocols.
• Contribute to research and academic activities in ophthalmology.
