The Vitamin/Body Care Assistant is responsible for assisting the Vitamin and Body Care Managers in the successful operation and profitability of the vitamin and body care departments.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

• Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive customer experience daily.
• Maintaining integrity, responsibility, and adherence to all policies.
• Creating inviting, full, and shopable departments.
• Assisting in ordering and maintaining inventory levels for vitamin and body care departments.
• Supporting department managers in managing margins, driving sales, and maximizing profitability.
• Ensuring all products meet company standards and handling special orders.
• Merchandising shelves, endcaps, and displays.
• Participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock management.
• Training and monitoring department personnel, including task assignment and follow-up.
• Conducting product demos and addressing customer questions.
• Supporting store opening and closing activities, including cash handling and register duties.
• Maintaining safety and security for customers and staff.
• Using SAP and other software for inventory and communication.
• Working a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, totaling 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in grocery or retail, especially natural foods, is a plus.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with vitamins/supplements preferred.
• Ability to pass food safety training and maintain certifications.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
• Cashier experience and proficiency in MS Office.
