Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods offers a 11-week summer merchandising internship in Pittsburgh, giving students hands-on duties in planograms, space planning and store execution. You’ll work with Buyers, Allocation, Marketing, and Store Ops to deliver strategies and learn from senior leaders.

Expect professional development workshops, intern-wide projects, and exposure to executive speakers, with housing provided for non-local interns and a travel stipend for locals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree with a focus on merchandising or business.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Interest in space planning, retail operations and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Create planograms and game plans aligned with strategy and store layouts.
• Prepare written directives for in-store implementation of campaigns.
• Collaborate with Allocation Team to ensure proper inventories.
• Analyze SKU productivity and recommend opportunities to improve sales.
• Support floor setup and cross-functional coordination during labs and stores.
• Participate in Merchant Business Review meetings with data insights.
