Job description

Sold at top international retailers and worn by a loyal following of celebrities and tastemakers, the brand has come to define a new classic heritage and relaxed sensibility. Rails is sold in 30 countries by more than 1000 retailers, including its own flagship stores in New York, San Francisco, Newport Beach, Paris, London and Amsterdam.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and data-driven Visual Merchandise Coordinator to join our growing contemporary fashion brand in Los Angeles. This role will partner closely with the Director of Retail Projects as well as the Senior Retail Operations Manager to execute a wide range of retail initiatives and drive business across global stores.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple concurrent projects with precision, and has a strong understanding of contemporary retail environments, visual merchandising, product reporting & analysis, and project execution. This position combines creative thinking with operational excellence and requires both strong visual sensibility and data-backed business decision-making skills.

This is an on-site role based at our Los Angeles headquarters with frequent travel to stores, showrooms, and project sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute visual merchandising display activations and bi-weekly rollouts.
  • Manage visual updates across all retail stores from floor plans & instructions to execution & troubleshooting directly with the retail teams.
  • Create professional presentation decks for leadership reviews as well as training guides & videos for retail store executions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Creative, PR, Product Development, Planning, Operations, Graphics and external vendors.
  • Dig deep into product reporting for best sellers, inventory & allocation tracking, and working across multiple departments to drive business in our retail stores.
  • Coordinate with the retail team on in-store signage, graphics, décor, and visual communication elements to drive business across campaign launches, sales & new collections.
  • Maintain brand consistency across retail stores, wholesale environments, and showroom presentations.
  • Oversee and manage all visual checklists & standards in stores to coordinate repairs, replacements, and visual upkeep.
  • Manage multiple overlapping projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail displays, or related field within a contemporary fashion or lifestyle brand.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising, product reporting, and retail environments.
  • Strong proficiency in excel, data analytics, and sales reporting.
  • Strong creative, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
  • Experience creating polished presentation decks and renderings
  • Technical proficiency in selling & inventory platforms like Shopify, Netsuite (preferred)
  • Must be based in Los Angeles and able to work full-time from company headquarters
  • Willingness to travel frequently to stores, showrooms, vendor sites, and installations
  • Ability to work flexible hours during store openings and installations or peak business periods
Ideal Candidate:

You are equal parts creative and operational — someone who can manage timelines and spreadsheets while also having a strong eye for design and brand presentation. You are proactive, adaptable, highly organized, and energized by bringing retail experiences to life. Motivated by driving business in stores with both visual display and product allocation support.
