Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a visually oriented designer to shape experiences across Jacobs products. You will collaborate with design leads, stakeholders, and developers, from concept to hand-off, and create interactive prototypes for usability testing.
You’ll conduct user research and craft UI/UX strategies for desktop, mobile web, iOS, and Android. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Graphic Design or related field and 2 years of Visual Media experience.

Collaborating with product design lead, interactive media director, stakeholders, and developers on the team to design and advocate for great experiences across Jacob’s products. Executing design from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Generating interactive prototypes for business stakeholder presentations and customer usability testing. Conducting her own usability tests to validate designs. Conducting research and deconstructing Jacobs users’ digital interactions and habits. Coming up with Ui and Ux strategies based on our target goals. Design engaging user interfaces design for real-time game engine applications using unity. Creating and maintaining digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups using design and prototyping tools such as figma, sketch, invision and adobe XD. Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of Ux research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior. Responsible for applying interactive and visual design principles on desktop + mobile web+ iOS + android and all other digital interfaces for a positive and cohesive user experience. Design and development of online virtual rooms for Jacobs virtual engagement platform using marzipano and 3d vista. Using software like WordPress, html, CSS, and other design tools to achieve responsive designs. Coordinating with back-end web developers, who are responsible for server-side application integration and logic. Understanding the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary. Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps for designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets. Illustrating concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts using software’ like adobe photoshop, InDesign, illustrator and Microsoft keynote. Utilizing design thinking principles to build engaging customer experiences which solve goals with elegant simplicity. Collaborating with product managers, developers, content strategists, and other experience designers to execute design concepts that deliver on brand goals, business goals, and are technically feasible to implement.

REQUIREMENTS: This role requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Graphic Design, Visual Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Motion Media Design, or closely related field and 2 years of work experience as a Visual Media professional, or related occupation in Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Web Development.

The base salary range for this position is $117,666.00 to $131,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
