Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, plus color correction and basic audio mixing, is required. Expect deadlines and dynamic assignments across long-form and rapid response pieces.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional digital or streaming news environment with long-form investigations and breaking news.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite focusing on After Effects and visual-effects plug-ins.
• Proven editorial judgment and ability to maintain journalistic standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new production platforms and technology.
• Collaborative with team members on scripting, story development, and fact-checking.

Responsibilities

• Edit CNN’s premier visual investigations video pieces with a team of producers, senior producers, and reporters.
• Build graphic animations.
• Edit both long-form documentary pieces and quick-turn, breaking-news packages.
• Collaborate with the team on scripting, story development, producing, and fact-checking.

• Utilize technical, editorial, and creative expertise in editing, producing, design, compositing, and visual effects.
