Acuren is recruiting for a Visual Inspector III (API 510/570/653) to support client sites across the Midwest and our St. Louis Park, MN operations.

The role focuses on visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards, with detailed reporting and technical recommendations. The ideal candidate will hold API 510/570, bring 5–10 years (or 2+ years on site) experience, and be willing to travel; familiarity with NDE/NDT methods and welding/metallurgical

Qualifications

• Certification in API 510/570 is required.
• 5–10 years of experience or 2+ years on-site experience.
• Knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate client reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Fully comply with safe work practices and participate in safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
