Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Visual Inspector to support operations in Alaska. The role focuses on visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards, performing on-site inspections with client teams.

Candidates should hold API 510/570 certification, have 5-10 years of experience or 2+ years on site, and be prepared to travel as needed. The position is casual part-time and on-site in Anchorage.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification
• 5-10 years experience or 2+ years on site experience
• API 653 or CWI a plus
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME
• Submit technical reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed

Position Summary

Acuren is seeking an API Inspector to support operations in Alaska.

Responsibilities

• At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
• Submit technical reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
• Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide technical guidance on application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
• Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed

Requirements

• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570
• 5-10 years experience or 2+ years on site experience
