Job description

Overview

Join our team as a Visual Information Specialist II and support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) by creating, editing, and producing high-quality graphic and multimedia content for both internal and external communications. You will design and deliver artwork, videos, and briefing materials, collaborate with stakeholders to develop creative concepts, and manage the entire media production process from pre-production to post-production. You will ensure the timely production of engaging multimedia products that meet DIA standards and align with organizational guidelines.

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 0600 EST to 0800 EST at Anacostia, Washington DC

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit graphic designs, multimedia content, and artwork for internal and external communications.
  • Produce high-quality, finished artwork for daily communications products delivered to senior government officials.
  • Design and layout materials for briefing products, guides, manuals, event programs, flat panel displays, and seals/logos for interactive briefing products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop creative concepts that meet customer requirements and align with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) style guidelines.
  • Oversee the full media production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production for video projects.
  • Record, edit, and manage video and sound projects, ensuring final output meets the most effective encoding and delivery standards (CODEC).
  • Create and integrate static and motion graphics, add music/voice-over, and manage media for video projects.
  • Ensure all multimedia content is produced in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Obtain and maintain Data Transfer Officer (DTO) authorities within 60 days and provide secure data transfer services between networks.
  • Provide timely customer support, with responses within one business day and clarification of project requirements within one week of review.
Qualifications
  • Experience in graphic design, multimedia production, and video editing, including the creation of static and motion graphics.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), video editing tools, and media management.
  • Strong understanding of encoding methods and file formats (e.g., CODEC) for multimedia content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with stakeholders to interpret customer requirements and deliver creative concepts.
  • Familiarity with organizational style guidelines and ability to ensure compliance in all produced materials.
  • Experience working with government agencies, particularly in producing content for high-level officials, is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Data Transfer Officer (DTO) authorities within 60 days of employment.
