Job summary

TypeSafe AI in San Francisco seeks a Brand Designer to craft a visual identity across all touchpoints, from the website to print materials. You’ll shape the visual system, guide tone, and ensure cohesion across campaigns and products.

You’ll work with a product designer, ship in Framer, and help define how the brand feels in an era of intelligent software. This is a hands-on, in-person role at our SF office near Embarcadero.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio showing visual and written communication.
• Real fluency in Framer: layouts, CMS, components, breakpoints, publishing. You've shipped complex sites.
• You have a personal style close to our playful, direct, irreverent vibe and can maintain brand cohesion across media.
• You can make a newsletter, tee, and conference booth read as one (fun) brand.

Responsibilities

• Shape the visual identity across surfaces: color, imagery, dataviz, motion, storytelling.
• Own the public face of TypeSafe, starting with the marketing website, working with our product designer in Framer.
• Set the taste: know when to go loud and when to cut to maintain a punchy brand.
• Be the brand's front door for the whole company: support Sales, Product, Marketing with assets.
• Take the industry where it hasn't gone before by exploring brand and visuals for the age of agents.

We're building prod, not god. TypeSafe is an AI lab pushing frontier model intelligence in a new direction, starting with System One Models. We combine the reasoning of LLMs with the reliability of code, for truly trustworthy AI. Our first model, Jev, launched in September 2026.

About the role

TypeSafe has a personality that's hard to miss, but how it looks is still taking shape. We're looking for someone to build a visual identity that’s unmistakably TypeSafe, across all surfaces that carry our logo, digital or physical.

What you'll do

• Shape the visual identity. You'll build out the visual system that matches who we are, using color, imagery, dataviz, motion, and storytelling.




• Own the public face of TypeSafe, starting with the marketing website. You'll work alongside our product designer, living in Framer.




• Set the taste. Our personality is punchy. We're looking for someone who knows when to go loud and when to cut.




• Be the brand’s front door for the whole company. Sales needs a deck, Product needs graphic assets, Marketing needs a newsletter, the founders want a jacket. You'll have a hand in all of it.




• Take the industry where it hasn't gone before. We're looking for curious-minded, future-facing people who are excited about what brand and visual design look like in the age of agents.

Minimum requirements

• A personal style that already sits close to ours. If your work naturally leans playful, direct, and a little irreverent, you have our attention.




• 3+ years of professional experience with a portfolio that shows strong visual and written communication skills.




• Real fluency in Framer: layouts, CMS, components, breakpoints, publishing. You've shipped complex sites.




• Taste for cohesion. You can make a newsletter, a tee, and a conference booth all read as one (fun) brand.

Nice to have

• Motion graphics, animation, and/or video editing skills.




• Enough frontend knowledge to direct agents sensibly.




• Event or merch production experience: vendors, print specs, the works.




• Strong storytelling and narrative instincts.
