Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a part-time dedicated Visual Arts Teacher to teach three sections of Art Foundations, five days per week.

Major Responsibilities:

I. Instructional Planning & Delivery

• Teach the curriculum reflecting knowledge of the subject matter (subject matter expert) and the specific learning styles of the students
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions or activities
• Compile, evaluate and/or grade students' class work reflecting learning styles of students
• Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of curricula, course materials and methods of instruction.
• Utilize up-to-date technology in lesson plans and classroom management
  
  
  

II. Classroom & Student Management

• Manage the classroom to ensure successful learning for every student
• Maintain contact with students and parents with effective and regular communication
  
  
  

III. Professional Growth & Content Expertise

• Maintain expertise in the field through ongoing professional development demonstrating a commitment to the field of study and knowledge of diverse learning

IV. Faith Formation

• Embrace, display, and support Catholic/Christian values and spiritual formation.
• Regular participation in Ignatian formation activities including the school’s formal formation program, school masses, retreats, and other activities/events as scheduled.

Compensation And Benefits
