Plattsmouth Community Schools in Nebraska is seeking an Art Teacher to inspire students in visual arts, from drawing and painting to art history, and to exhibit student work in school and community spaces.

The role requires planning engaging lessons, assessing progress, maintaining records, and involving families while adhering to district curriculum and safety standards. Nebraska state certification is required.

Formación

• Nebraska State Certification as an Art Teacher or as required for position.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Masters Degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and administers school art curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Teaches art knowledge and skills to secondary pupils per board of education guidance.
• Assesses student skills and progress and prepares progress reports.
• Plans art displays and exhibitions to showcase student work.
• Maintains accurate records of student activities, achievement and attendance.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates progress and expectations.
• Uses safe practices and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Stays current with developments through seminars and professional development.
