Grand Island Public Schools seeks an Art Teacher to develop students' interest and skills in visual arts, implement district curriculum, and document progress and outcomes. The role includes planning lessons, modeling techniques, and maintaining a safe learning environment for pupils.

The position emphasizes ongoing assessment, classroom management, and effective communication with students, parents, and administration to support student expectations and goals.

Formación

• Nebraska State Certification as an Art Teacher or as required for position.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level and/or subject is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and administers school art curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Teaches art knowledge and skills including drawing, painting, design, art history to secondary pupils.
• Assesses student progress and adjusts instruction to meet individual needs.
• Plans and organizes class time for a balanced art program.
• Maintains accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates student progress.
