Description

The Historical Society of Carroll County in Westminster is searching for a Visitor’s Services Assistant with a media assistance focus to join our team starting Summer Semester 2024.

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting the Outreach and Events Coordinator with social media and blog content
2. Assisting with promotional materials creation such as flyers, posters, pamphlets
3. Assisting with the creation of special programs and outreach initiatives as guided by the Outreach and Events Coordinator
4. Greeting and assisting Society patrons and visitors
5. Showing patrons and visitors the Society’s exhibit galleries and learning about the collections to help answer visitor questions
6. Assisting patrons in the Society’s Bookshop
7. Setting up and tearing down signage during open hours
8. This position involves some limited lifting, not more than 10 pounds at a time

Hours Needed
