Job summary

American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit conservation corps, in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking 1 Visitor Services & Natural Resource Protection Member to contribute to visitor services programs and natural resource projects alongside Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge staff.

This position requires a strong commitment to conservation, bilingual communication skills, and flexibility to work Monday through Saturday with a weekly living allowance.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Willing to undergo background checks and work irregular hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cabo Rojo NWR Salt Flats Visitor Center operations and public contact.
• Explain refuge resources and ecological importance to visitors.
• Assist with habitat restoration, trail work, signage and mapping projects.
• Support biology, planning, maintenance, and administrative activities for Refuge programs.
• Organize outreach events and educational programs for diverse audiences.
• Attend staff meetings and report issues to supervisor.
