Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in information science, computer science, applied mathematics or statistics.
• At least 2 years postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in bibliometrics or scientometrics with peer-reviewed contributions.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale publication/citation data.
• Ability to translate research into practical program recommendations for non-specialists.
• Proven autonomous work style and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen impact measurement across the Center's portfolio and help shape future strategic directions in scholarly infrastructure and the scientific record.
• Design and pilot approaches for tracking outcomes of programs and awards, including interdisciplinary measures.
• Develop analyses and tools for program teams, leveraging AI and bibliometric data.
• Assess current investments in strengthening scientific literature and map the landscape of scholarly infrastructure.
• Pursue an independent research agenda in bibliometrics and the science of science.
