The Lazarov laboratory in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Visiting Research Scientist to lead one or more projects focusing on molecular and cellular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. This role involves mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, writing manuscripts and grant applications, and overseeing laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• PhD in biological sciences with neuroscience or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant research experience and strong lab skills.
• Experience in manuscript and grant writing is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead one or more research projects in the Lazarov lab.
• Write manuscripts and grant applications under supervision.
• Guide graduate and undergraduate students and postdocs.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with PI and lab members on experimental procedures.
