Job summary

The Murphy Institute’s Center for Ethics (CE) at Tulane University invites applications for the 2027-2028 CE Faculty Fellowship Program. These one-year fellowships support outstanding faculty whose teaching and research focus on ethics and related fields.

Fellows are appointed as Visiting Research Professors, receive a salary of $70,000, are eligible for faculty benefits including medical insurance, and are expected to devote most of their time to research while participating in seminars and

Qualifications

Must hold a doctorate in philosophy, economics, political theory, law, political economy, public health, or a related discipline at the time of application.
Must hold a full-time college or university appointment at the time of application.
Faculty Fellowships are open to full-time faculty at all ranks.

Responsibilities

Visiting Research Professors are appointed at Tulane University’s Murphy Institute’s Center for Ethics and devote most of their time to conducting their research.
They will participate in seminars, lectures, and conferences organized by the Murphy Institute.
Fellows are expected to devote most of their time to their research while benefiting from faculty status and related activities.
