Goshen College in Goshen, IN invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Biological Sciences Department. This full-time, 10-month position will teach anatomy, physiology and related labs and support general education courses.

Ideal candidates hold an MS or PhD in physiology or a related field, have teaching and mentoring experience with undergraduates, and are committed to fostering a diverse, student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in physiology or related area
• Experience in teaching and/or mentoring
• Research experience in physiology or related area
• Commitment to building a culturally diverse educational environment
• Student-centered approach to teaching and research
• Support of the liberal arts program and interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and labs each semester, including anatomy & physiology, vertebrate physiology, pathophysiology, and related courses
• Mentor and advise undergraduate students in pre-health programs
• Mentor undergraduates through junior-senior thesis research projects
