Job summary

Jacksonville University invites applicants for a faculty position in the Keigwin School of Nursing. This is a visiting, clinical track, full time, 12-month position that involves in-person, classroom instruction.

Teaching will include undergraduate students in ground-based and hybrid models, with a focus on Med-surg, pathophysiology, assessment and synthesis. MSN in Nursing and Florida RN license required; prior teaching is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN in Nursing required with a Florida RN license.
• Experience teaching in clinical or classroom settings preferred.
• Ability to teach using ground-based and hybrid models.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate students in ground-based and hybrid models; include skills lab.
• Instruct in Med-surg, pathophysiology, assessment and synthesis.
• Engage in scholarship including clinical practice and presentations.
• Provide university service, committee work, and mentoring.
• Collaborate to create and deliver simulation learning experiences.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and safety in simulations.
• Promote simulation across the curriculum with faculty.
• Evaluate student learning and provide reflective debriefings.
• Lead teaching scenarios and nursing skills simulations.
• Serve on the Keigwin School of Nursing Undergraduate committee.
• Support students with study skills, time/stress management, NCLEX prep.
• Stay current with simulation tech and learning theory.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.
• Attend faculty meetings and school events; assist recruitment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
