University of Florida's School of Theatre + Dance invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer in Dance. The role emphasizes teaching and service at a leading public research university, contributing to undergraduate curricula and the annual production season.

The successful candidate will teach across beginning to advanced levels, bring diverse dance forms and contemporary practices, and participate in recruitment, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary collaborations within SoTD.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Dance or closely related field, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of two years university-level teaching experience (Graduate TA/adjunct/visiting artist).
• Ability to teach undergraduate dance technique and related curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate dance courses across levels as per curriculum needs.
• Contribute to curricular development and interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Mentor BA and BFA students and oversee senior projects.
• Contribute to production seasons and dance concerts through choreography or leadership.
• Support recruitment and student retention and engage with the broader learning community.
