Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor in Cognitive Science, Carleton College

The Cognitive Science program at Carleton College invites applications for a two-trimester visiting position in cognitive science starting January 1, 2023, at the rank of assistant professor or instructor (Ph.D. preferred). We are particularly interested in applicants who are committed to teaching a diverse student body. The Cognitive Science Program at Carleton is interdisciplinary in nature, drawing most heavily from the disciplines of computer science, linguistics, philosophy, and psychology. The position involves teaching a total of four courses: two in our 10-week winter term and two in our 10-week spring term. Specifically, this involves teaching Cognitive Processes and two sections of its co-requisite laboratory (CGSC 232/233), as well as an introductory course in cognitive science (CGSC 130), and a seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise; for more details on these courses see https://www.carleton.edu/cognitive-science/courses/ .
