Job description

Position: Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting assistant professor position starting August 1, 2025.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; PhD or ABD preferred.
  • Experience/expertise in teaching courses aligned with departmental needs.
Responsibilities
  1. Teach a teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester (typically four courses), including possible early evening classes.
  2. Ability to teach programming courses at various levels in Java and/or Python.
  3. Preferred expertise in Cybersecurity, AI, Operating Systems, Web, Game, or Mobile Development, or foundational courses.
  4. Willingness to teach both in-person and online classes.
