The School of Education at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a one‑year, full‑time, non‑tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2025 with requirements to be physically present on the Hattiesburg and/or Gulf Coast campuses. The Elementary Education faculty provide training to initial and advanced teaching licensure candidates in Elementary Education. We seek candidates whose experience includes bridging research and practice in P‑12 elementary education, literacy and/or mathematics education, special education, culturally inclusive education, assessment, and clinical supervision. We aim to recruit applicants with a background in Curriculum and Instruction who will support the Elementary Education programs including a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Elementary Education). Program delivery includes face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
