<p>Trinity University in San Antonio seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for a one-year appointment in the Biology department. The position is a visiting appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D with a concentration in some aspect of Neurobiology, Physiology, or Cellular Biology is appropriate. A Master's Degree, or a Ph.D candidate post-qualifying exams is acceptable.
The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach two lab sections of Neurobiology and one section of Cells and Cell Systems Lab. In the spring, the Visiting Assistant Professor will teach in the Biology core curriculum, BIOL 1111 Integrative Biology lab.
The appointment will be a non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor for one academic year.

Experience
The ideal candidate has hands‑on familiarity with techniques used in the Neurobiology lab including electrophysiology, modeling of neurons, immunohistochemistry, and confocal microscopy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Understanding of and experience using extracellular and sharp electrode intracellular electrophysiological experimental methods.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Work is completed in office and physiology lab environments. Must be able to move about freely. Willingness to travel on behalf of Trinity University. Physical demands are light; all lifting is less than 50 pounds.

Maintaining and satisfying minimum attendance requirements is an essential function of this position. On‑site attendance required.
